Thursday 10th September and it’s time for Flo’s first operation. We arrived in good time and were shown our room and Flo was prepped for surgery. The operation was delayed by quite sometime and Flo didn’t arrive back in the room around 23:30 fully awake and sporting a new hip and scar. Early next morning we had some physio then a visit from the doctor after which Flo was discharged, by 11:30 we were back home.

Cath and Louis visited us for a long weekend just one week after Flo’s operation. Once I collected them from the airport we got Flo and it was off to Gandia for lunch with Adrienne, although their visit was ok it was too much too soon after the operation.

Flo got eight Physio appointments in Valencia with two holidays splitting them. We have to drive to Valencia each day for the 1½ hour physio in total it takes about 4 hours door to door, worth it because Flo is making great progress and walking well. So far the operation has been a success reducing pain considerably.
